CORINNE KRAVETZ

Corinne is an acting teacher, and theatre director at Conard High School in West Hartford. Along with teaching three levels of Acting classes, and directing the musicals and the Black Box Theatre productions, she also advises the Thespian Troupe. The Conard Drama program was recently honored to be accepted into the American High School Theatre Festival, and they performed a world premiere original production at the Edinburgh, Scotland Fringe Festival.

Before teaching theatre, Corinne was a special education teacher in West Hartford for over 25 years. In her life outside of Conard, Corinne is on the board of the CT chapter of the International Thespian Society and has also taught musical theater classes for graduate students through the HARTT School Summer term. She was a founding member of Acts Factory Players of Collinsville, where she directed and wrote the annual youth show for many years. Previously, Corinne spent summers touring CT with the professional theater group Honeybee Theatre. Corinne has worked in a variety of different venues with young actors. She has been the Goodman-Banks visiting artist at Kingswood-Oxford School, where she founded their Improv troupe. Corinne has directed many musical productions and plays for high and middle schools in West Hartford and the Farmington Valley including Simsbury High School. Past directing experiences include: Playhouse on Park, West Hartford, Simsbury High School, Avon Summer Musical along with numerous acting workshops and classes in the Greater Hartford area. Corinne loves working with her students and takes great joy in their growth and success.

Henley Solomon

Henley Solomon is a recent graduate and alumni of Sacred Heart University where he received his Bachelors of Arts in English and Theater Arts. Henley has worked alongside the Grammy nominated company of The Connecticut's Children's Theater in a number of their productions such as, The Wonderful Winnie the Pooh (Eeyore), The Curious Quest of Benjamin Bunny (Peter Rabbit), and Magic Snowflake (The Old Man on the Dock). Henley has also done shows with the Sacred Heart Repertory Company in productions such as Next To Normal (Dan), In The Heights (Benny), Jesus Christ Superstar (Judas), and Hair (Berger): roles he also received the CT Broadway World nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical Non- Equity, three consecutive years in a row. The Lights Up Production, a theater production that has toured nationally in the US and internationally in Poland, Germany, and Austria those credits are Lost in Vegas, Pillars of Fire, Richest Man in the Valley, Passion of the King, and Prince of Peace. His film credits are Sunday Dinner (Facebook TV webisode in production) and Mom’s Assistance (FTMA). He also is apart of the CG Worship Team at Rehoboth Church of God.

Currently you can find Henley at Conard High as a Building Teacher’s Assistant where he also is a proud alum, class of 2015. Henley is so excited to be apart of this wonderful experience and couldn’t be more grateful to share in the same creative space of these young artists.

Eva Pandiscia

Eva has been a secondary English and theater teacher for the past ten years and is currently serving as a teaching assistant at Sedgwick Middle School in West Hartford and serving as the Director for the school’s spring musical. For the first eight years of her teaching career, Eva served as the English department head and theater director for a private school just outside of Washington, D.C. While there, Eva produced and directed seven plays and co-directed seven musicals. For the past two years, she has been teaching English, theater, and public speaking at several schools in New York State and Connecticut. She also is currently a house manager for the Autorino Center at the University of Saint Joseph and works with the Farmington Continuing Education children’s theater camp.

Prior to the start of her teaching career, Eva studied English, theater, and public speaking on the collegiate level for six years. She earned a bachelor’s degree is speech communication education with a second teaching field in English and a master’s degree in speech education. While she was pursuing her degrees, she was involved in eighteen of her college’s theatrical productions in the areas of acting, directing, stage managing, costuming, set-design, and makeup-design. She also performed a one-woman show of Thornton Wilder’s The Matchmaker and adapted Betty Smith’s classic A Tree Grows in Brooklyn into a play. She then produced, directed, acted in her adaptation of A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and performed the production at her college.
